Location: DHL JD Wetherspoons, Daventry (NN11 8NF)

Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off. Rotational shifts (Days and Nights - 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00)

WHAT YOU'LL DO?
  • Support the Senior Transport Management team in meeting the KPI's of the Transport Operations based from the NDC and outbases and ensure that deliveries are executed to the Customer at agreed Service Levels.
  • Monitor and resolve driver and vehicle compliance discrepancies with Tachomaster/Microlise.
  • Input on the team members performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
  • Analyse routes with a negative effect on the SLA to understand the reasons why and put corrective action to prevent trends continuing with a specific route or driver.
  • Ensure compliance with company and local statutory obligations regarding working time legislation, operator licensing, Health & Safety and quality, ensuring knowledge of current legislation is kept up to date.
  • Maintain effective communication processes for both external/internal customers.
  • Provide administrative support to the Transport Outbase Manager and Transport Depot Manager when required.
  • Plan the use of subcontractors and recruitment agencies.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING?
  • Previous experience of working within a Line Management position is essential.
  • Previous experience of working within a Transport operation is essential.
  • Experience of working in a multi temperate environment.
  • Experience of using WMS/Tachomaster/Microlise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, together with the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a demanding environment.
  • Good IT skills including all Microsoft Office packages.
