We're now searching for a dynamic Contract Manager in Coventry to take the reins and deliver exceptional, customer‑focused supply chain solutions. In this role, you'll own operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and build strong partnerships that shape the future of logistics. A Typical Day May Involve:
- Take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the operation by leading teams onsite, resolving issues in real time, ensuring safe and compliant execution, and maintaining service continuity against customer SLAs.
- Kick off the day by reviewing progress during on‑site projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and customer expectations are aligned.
- Host or prepare for customer meetings to discuss performance, explore growth opportunities, and present data‑driven recommendations for supply chain improvements.
- Analyse daily KPIs and operational dashboards with your leadership team, addressing any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations management team to adjust resource plans based on volume forecasts, seasonal peaks, and customer requirements.
- Lead Gemba walks, confirm standards, and coach team members on process improvements while fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and customer‑centricity.
This Role Would Suit People Who:
- Are comfortable taking ownership of live operations, work directly with the onsite leadership teams, engage directly on the floor when needed, and drive safe, compliant, high‑performing execution that meets both customer commitments and commercial objectives.
- Are commercially driven, understand how to make operations profitable (e.g., cost per square foot), and can partner with Business Development on bids, tenders, and growth opportunities.
- Are comfortable navigating complex transitions, introducing new processes, and aligning multiple stakeholders.
- Have experience in warehousing, e‑commerce, and ideally automation.
- Have experience working directly with customers, understand their evolving needs, and can translate insights into tailored solutions that strengthen partnerships and drive long‑term success.
