PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process. At DHL, a leading supply chain business, we operate warehouses inside prisons where inmates can order basic goods such as shampoo and chocolate, paid for with their own funds. We manage the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. Each day on our HMPPS contract offers unique challenges. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting inmates' rehabilitation by working with a diverse team in a prison environment.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of prisoners in a warehouse setting, with hands-on involvement in picking and packing
- Reconciling stock levels within the on-site warehouse
- Managing the timely and accurate dispatch of orders to inmates
- Meeting and exceeding operational targets
Candidate Requirements:
- Three years of UK address history (mandatory for security clearance)
- Ability to work effectively within a prison environment alongside inmates
- Understanding of warehouse processes (desirable)
- Strong communication skills across all levels
