(Warehouse Operative) Order Distributor HMP Bedford – DHL Supply Chain

Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)
Location: HM Prison Bedford, MK40 1HG
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)
Shift pattern: 5 hours per week (Friday: 12:30 to 17:30)
Salary: £3,507.40 per year

Note: The role is based within a Prison. Enhanced Security Vetting Process will be required if selected.

HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing and distribution of these orders. You will play an integral role in the prisoners\’ lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.

What does the role entail?

Working on the prison wing, distributing orders timely and accurately to each inmate
Loading and unloading vehicles when orders arrive at the prison
Compliance with prison rules and regulations

What do we need from you?

Ability to work in a prison environment, alongside inmates
Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting
Good communication at all levels
Current 3-year UK address history (mandatory for Enhanced Security Clearance)
