We\’re now looking for a Transport First Line Manager (Secondment) to play a key role in our transport operations.

what You\’ll Do
- To be a 21st Century Manager leading and managing drivers and the wider Transport Team
- Responsible for the safe, legal and efficient execution of transport operations during a duty shift to customer SLA\’s/KPI\’s
- To schedule, prepare and conduct monthly 1-2-1\’s with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines & allocated objectives
- Management of short & long term driver absence and disciplinaries in line with policy, ensuring all colleagues comply with the DHL Code of conduct
- Carry out a minimum of 5 safety conversations per week while ensuring near miss & hazard reporting is being carried out
- Promote positive culture, supporting EOS initiatives including nominations for recognizing excellence

- Experience of working as a supervisor/manager within the Logistics Industry
- Transport legal compliance
- H&S compliance, ensuring and promoting the best H&S Standards
- Accident / Investigation experience
- Good communication skills
- Supervisory skills – managing individual performance / absenteeism / conflict and development
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
