LGV C+E Driver / Yard Shunter Nights - based Stoke on Trent

Pay Rate: £42,795 per annum based on a 42‑hour week

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off shift pattern – starts between 17:00‑19:00

Location: Stoke on Trent – ST4 2TP

Responsibilities

  • Work pattern – 4 on 4 off shift pattern – either Sun‑Wed, Tues‑Fri or a split week Sun, Mon, Thurs and Fri
  • Yard shunting of trailers with a Terberg shunter and Cat C vehicles on and off of loading bays (≈40‑50 movements a shift)
  • LGV C+E trunking to Scunthorpe, Avonmouth, Wellingborough, Harlow or Livingston
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
  • Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
  • Additional shifts on the road and shunting duties to cover holiday and sickness as available

Qualifications

  • Valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous yard shunting experience with a Terberg shunter
  • Live locally to Stoke ST4 2TP
