Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off | 06:00-14:00
Location: NN4 9BD – Northampton
We’re now looking for an experienced Stock Control Clerk to play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of stock across our warehouse.
A Typical Day May Involve
- Ensure the integrity of stock across 15,000 bulk reserve locations and 2,000 pick faces through accurate and timely perpetual counting.
- Actively participate in re-slotting of products to accommodate changes in volume, promotions, and seasonality across 2,500 SKU lines, ensuring operational needs are met effectively.
- Manage damaged stock by implementing processes for identification, reporting, and disposal, while ensuring clear communication with relevant teams regarding damages and the management of returned stock.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of stock control and addressing any non-conformities promptly.
- Collaborate with inbound and outbound teams to resolve stock-related issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of stock levels, discrepancies, and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of stock movements and adjustments.
- Monitor Best Before Dates (BBD) and shelf life of all stock to ensure compliance with quality standards and minimize waste.
- Assist in the development and implementation of stock control processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including reach trucks and low-level order pickers (LOP), as required.
Who This Role Would Suit
- Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably within a warehouse environment.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Valid MHE license for operating reach trucks and low-level order pickers (LLOP) is preferred; candidates without a license must be willing to complete in-house training.
