WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide day-to-day Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) assistance and advice to ensure the site complies with all relevant statutory legislation and company standards.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of SHE policies and procedures across the site.
- Coordinate and support Safety, Health and Environmental initiatives, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture.
- Manage external contractors on site, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site requirements.
- Monitor site compliance, conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments where required.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance health, safety, environmental, and facilities performance.
- Support investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Build strong working relationships with operational teams and stakeholders to embed best practice across the site.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (essential).
- Previous experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within a logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or operational environment.
- The ability to create and implement Health & Safety improvement plans and deliver against agreed targets.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels.
- A genuine passion for Health and Safety and driving a positive safety culture.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
