We're looking for a dynamic and engaging Operations Support Manager to join our Burton upon Trent site. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining Health & Safety support, project delivery, training oversight and colleague engagement. If you're a natural relationship-builder, confident working with people at all levels, and excited by the opportunity to drive positive change, we'd love to hear from you.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Supporting the site's Health & Safety agenda by maintaining compliance systems, reporting and documentation, ensuring key activities are completed accurately and on time, and acting as a key liaison with the Health & Safety Business Partner.
  • Taking ownership of site projects and digitalisation initiatives, supporting the rollout of new technology, embracing innovative ways of working and driving continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Overseeing the site training function, managing a team of Driver Trainers, reviewing training plans, supporting HR-related activities and helping to ensure training remains effective and compliant.
  • Being the site's Engagement Champion, creating and sharing engaging communications, updating digital displays and finding creative ways to keep colleagues informed, connected and motivated.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and customers, providing regular updates, attending weekly customer meetings and helping to deliver an exceptional operational experience.

  • A confident and engaging communicator who enjoys building relationships and can comfortably interact with colleagues at all levels, from drivers and trainers to customers and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive and dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their workload, manages their own diary effectively and isn't afraid to ask questions or take the initiative.
  • A tech-savvy problem solver with strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems, software and digital tools. Experience with Microsoft Office is essential, whilst training can be provided on site-specific platforms.
  • Someone with an understanding of Health & Safety within an operational environment, who can maintain attention to detail, support audits and compliance activities, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • A motivated learner with experience gained through a similar operational role, placement or graduate position, who is eager to develop, embrace change, lead projects and make a positive impact across the site.
