Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time), 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday (includes working UK bank holidays)

Shift patterns: Monday to Thursday, 08:00-17:00, Friday's, 08:00-14:30

Location: HM Stocken, near Oakham, LE15 7RD

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a men's category C prison. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position.

DHL operates across 21 prison workshops, employing prisoners in warehouse-style work: picking, packing, logistics, and distribution. We're now looking for a Warehouse Team Leader who will play an integral role in the prisoners' lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation. You'll need to be comfortable handling tough situations and speaking up when the rules aren't followed. Can you stay steady and focused around people who may challenge you? Can you treat everyone with respect while keeping firm boundaries?

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Leading and managing a group of up to 80 prisoners, ensuring compliance to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health and Safety, and HMP rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring operational KPI's are met and exceeded, reconciling stock levels against delivery and pick of each item.
  • Driving and supporting projects and initiatives for continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • You must have three recent years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
  • You must have right to work in the UK with no limits now or in the future such as British or Irish National, EU Settled Status or Indefinite Leave to Remain. We cannot offer sponsorship for this opportunity.

  • Have a good understanding of supply chain and logistics – full training provided to ensure your success!
  • Good at communicating firmly, fairly and clearly.

  • Experience in a prison or secure environment is an advantage, but we value transferable skills from other work settings.
