Location: HM Prison Whatton, Nottingham, NG13 9FQ
PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a category C prison. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position. You must hold a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this role.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Leading a group of prisoners in a warehouse environment, whilst also being hands on with picking and packing.
- Reconciling stock levels within the warehouse operation (based on-site at the prison).
- Managing the delivery of accurate and timely dispatch of orders to the inmates and ensuring operational targets are met and exceeded.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Must have three years of UK address history to meet enhanced security clearance requirements.
- Must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions (we're unable to offer sponsorship now or in future).
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.

- Are comfortable working in a secure prison environment, alongside inmates.
- Can be confident speaking up and guiding prisoners when needed. This includes encouraging them to stay on task, follow rules and keep the space safe and moving.
- Make the safety of everyone on shift a key focus.
- Good at communicating firmly, fairly and clearly.
- Have a good understanding of warehouse processes - but we will teach you the whole job!
