Night Shift FLM - 3 Month Secondment (Northampton) £31,645.74 per annum (pro rated) Monday-Friday | 10pm-6am (start 9:30pm for handover)

Looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership skills and guide a team through a smooth, safe and well organised night shift? This FLM secondment offers the chance to take ownership of a small operation, build confidence in people management and support a friendly, close knit team.

The Role

  • Gift & homeware operation - supporting the team with accurate picking and packing, loading and general warehouse activity
  • Working with MHE drivers - ensuring safe and smooth movement of stock
  • Health & safety focus - maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene across the shift
  • Safety conversations - holding regular discussions and raising SLAMs when needed
  • RedPrairie & OMS use - completing reports, tracking KPIs, carrying out 1 2 1s and keeping shift information updated
  • End of shift handover - providing a clear, thorough update so the next team starts fully informed
  • Independent working - managing the shift confidently with support available when needed
  • Hands on support - stepping in to help operationally during sickness or holiday cover

What You Need

  • Supportive people skills and confidence guiding a team
  • Clear communication and the ability to give calm, practical direction
  • Computer literacy, including RedPrairie and reporting tools
  • Confidence working independently and making steady, informed decisions
  • Comfortable holding safety conversations and raising SLAMs
  • Willingness to help operationally when needed
  • Fit enough to manage three flights of stairs on site
  • Available for two weeks of day shift training before starting nights
  • Reliable, organised and accurate with admin
