Based in Northampton, you will play a key role in delivering goods to our Travis Perkins sites, branches and customers, ensuring every journey is safe, efficient and professional.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Multi drop delivery to builders merchants sites (Nationwide driving)
- Between 6-8 drops per day, to and from branches and suppliers
- Safely and efficiently load and unload our products at customer locations
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to the Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E)
- Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum of 6 months recent Class 1 HGV driving experience
- OK to drive an articulated curtain-side vehicle for Class 1 HGV work
- OK to travel all over the UK to conduct deliveries to different sites
- Work will involve delivering palletised goods
- Can be planned or ad-hoc nights out
- Early start 4 AM – 6 AM (12-hour working days)
