DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation. Our team of Finance specialists does so much more than crunch numbers. They add value to our business by truly understanding our data and helping our teams make informed, commercial decisions.

What does the role entail?

  • Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis.
  • Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes.
  • Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making.
  • Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope.
  • Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production at site/customer level.
  • Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations.
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management.
  • Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager.

What do we need from you?

  • Strong Excel, pivot tables, V Lookups and formulas.
  • Clear, effective communicator.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Experience in finance.
  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry – desirable.
