Are you ready to join DHL Supply Chain at ManchesterPiccadilly Station? We’re looking for a Late Shift Supervisor to oversee a key rail operation, ensuring trains are serviced safely, efficiently and on schedule. This is an opportunity to support a small team, coordinate daily activities and help maintain a high standard of service within a busy transport environment.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Supervising night shift activities, allocating work and supporting colleagues to complete tasks safely and on time
- Overseeing train unloading and re-loading activities, including waste removal and replenishment of onboard catering products
- Maintaining operational records, monitoring service requirements and liaising with Avanti and DHL drivers to support train departures
- Holding team briefings, promoting safe working practices and identifying opportunities to improve ways of working
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Have experience supporting or supervising colleagues within a logistics, transport, warehouse or similar environment
- Communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with a range of people
- Can organise workloads, monitor progress and maintain accurate records
- Are comfortable working in a changing environment and responding to operational priorities
- Have knowledge of audit, compliance or reporting processes, although training will be provided
