Join DHL Supply Chain at our Trafford Park site as an Assistant Transport Manager, where you'll play a key role in a small, multi-faceted transport operation. You'll be involved in a wide range of activities, supporting operational performance, compliance, and team development.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the day-to-day running of the transport operation at Trafford Park
- Play a key role in managing, coaching, and developing a small team of Class 1 drivers and a Transport Administrator
- Contribute to maintaining full compliance with O Licence requirements, fleet standards, and KPI/SLA performance
- Act as an escalation point for operational issues, working closely with the Transport Manager and both internal and external teams
- Promote high health and safety standards across the site, ensuring safe working practices are consistently followed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Proven experience in a similar role within a Transport Office environment - International and National Transport Manager CPC is essential
- Solid understanding of transport compliance and O Licence responsibilities
- Experience overseeing fleet operations and delivering against KPI and SLA targets
- Ability to build effective working relationships, with a focus on mentoring and coaching team members
