A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Taking overall accountability for the training schedule for the entire campus, keeping up to date with technical, mandatory and refresher training for all colleagues.
  • Devising and implementing training courses, ensuring training content meets the requirement for a safe operational delivery.
  • Working closely with the planning department and the central resourcing team to ensure recruitment numbers are met in addition to playing a key part in their onboarding process.
  • Maintenance of, and compliance with, the written CAA / DfT through training standards while overseeing and implementing all relevant security training legislation and changes.
  • Managing a team of Trainers and administrators.
  • Assisting the HSES Manager in reviewing, developing and improving current practices via Risk Assessment & SSoW in line with Training content.
  • Deploying a wide variety of training and resourcing methods within the team.
  • Liaising with the planning department for recruitment requirements and forecasting for coming months to ensure operation is not impacted.
  • Maintaining and auditing the training and recruitment paperwork and files to the required standard in preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensuring all colleagues have the correct and compliant enhanced background checks and Airside passes.
  • Completing regular 1-1's with all direct reports to aid career development and support.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Have experience working in training/recruitment (desired).
  • Possess AET (desirable).
  • Have aviation and compliance knowledge.
  • Are confident dealing with challenging situations.
  • Work well within a team and have excellent communication skills.
  • Are willing to attend a medical appointment.

SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL:

  • Be able to provide five years' address history.
  • Be able to provide five years' reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character).
  • Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
