As our Health & Safety Business Partner, you will take the lead in driving a bold, forward‑thinking safety strategy across our Baggage contract at Heathrow Airport. This is a role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, builds strong partnerships, and champions a proactive, people‑first approach to safety.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the end‑to‑end safety strategy across the Heathrow Baggage contract, ensuring alignment with DHL's high standards and operational goals.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including the implementation of the new Ground Handling Regulations as they apply to the contract.
- Support and embed our Safety Management System (SMS), driving standardisation, consistency, and operational excellence across the site.
- Promote a proactive Just Safety Culture, championing continuous improvement and elevating safety performance across all teams.
- Work closely with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to build strong, trusted partnerships that enhance safety outcomes.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification in Aviation Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Desirable experience in aviation safety, cargo handling, or ground handling operations.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and inspire teams at all levels.
- A genuine passion for driving sustainability within safety practices.
- Ability to shape and embed a strong safety culture across diverse operational teams.
