Shift patterns: Rotational, Week 1 - Sun to Thurs, Week 2 - Tue to Sat

Location: Hertfordshire, AL10 9BD

We're now looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver to deliver aftermarket vehicle products to multiple locations throughout the South East, in line with the clients' specific guidelines for the movement of their products. As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Operate within the rules of Working Time Directive/EU Tachograph hours for LGV drivers.
  • Working in a safe manner in line with training given and all health and safety policies.
  • Representing DHL in a professional manner at all times being courteous to customers and members of the public.
  • Follow customer specific procedures whilst operating on their premises.
  • Complete routine vehicle checks using the OPS13 document in place at the start of every shift and a walk around check of the vehicle if left for any period of time.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Should have 12 months recent driving experience.
  • Knowledge of the geographical area is highly desirable.
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
  • Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health and Safety regulations.
