Shift patterns: Preferably Tuesday to Saturday but happy to discuss during interview. Working hours will be 6am - 4.30pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Have clear understanding of Objectives and KPI's applicable to your role and your team
  • Review and amend where appropriate daily plans
  • Collate all feedback against plan in the daily operations log for use in plan/do/review calls
  • Daily operations issue management and resolution for transport and with local warehouse
  • Responsible for full and effective daily brief/debrief for DHL, agency and sub-contractor drivers
  • Responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance during shift in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards
  • Accident and breakdown management via DHL standard operating procedures
  • From time to time you may be requested to deputise for the Transport Manager on daily plan/do/review calls
  • To schedule, prepare and conduct monthly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines
  • Manage operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. fuel performance/accidents etc
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Preferably comes from either a warehouse or transport supervisory level
  • Proactive and dynamic
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development
  • Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
  • Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
