The predicted salary is between 33750 - 41250 £ per year.

This is a national role, with the successful applicant required to support operations predominantly across London and the surrounding M25 area. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to travel to all sites within the contract as required. A company vehicle may be provided, or the successful applicant may use their own vehicle, with mileage and agreed travel expenses fully reimbursed in line with company policy. The role will also require occasional overnight stays, depending on site location and business requirements. Applicants should therefore be comfortable with regular travel and staying away from home when necessary.

HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing and distribution of these orders. No two days on our HMPPS contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the prisoner's lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide operational support across warehouses and service locations by covering staff absences, filling gaps, and delivering training.
  • Assist Warehouse Managers with onboarding, staff development, and recruitment.
  • Support the Regional Operations Manager and Head of Operations with canteen-related issues at DHL and HMP sites, while contributing to project delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and assist in the implementation of operational strategies.
  • Ensuring all relevant DHL operational documents are completed accurately/timely inclusive of change requests.
  • Ensure all delivery queries are reported to Warehouse Manager/Supervisors/Transport Team.
  • Comply with all Prison Service regulations, including security.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE

  • Logistics or similar engagement level job experience, preferable but not essential.
  • Experience of Managing a Team.
  • Excellent Time Management skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • 3 years current UK address history.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
