DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Supervisor / FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders, and tracking transportation vehicles.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames while maintaining standards of excellence.
- Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and facilitate clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team.
- Lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training, and development.
- Carry out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management, and disciplinaries.

- Excellent knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours.
- Strong communication skills across various stakeholders, including customers.
