A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Co-ordinate & processing of Multi-Modal collections and deliveries and communications between Supplier, Customer and Service Providers within strategic and tactical transport solutions. Create new jobs, update trackers and spreadsheets and provide clear and accurate email updates to the customer as well as wider LLP.
  • Ensure production / materials moved in line with strategic and tactical plan, to deliver best in class transport solutions. Ensure all departmental day to day tasks and data entry are timely executed.
  • Working to given parameters to support the collections and deliveries are made within the agreed parameters
  • Ensure any Blow Out recoverys are either made at lowest cost and still maintain delivery within contactual constraints or liaise with Custome to collect freight later and deliver later where possible at nil cost to the business
  • The role also needs to ensure that the Customer is made aware of all late collections / ntc\’s and advised of late deliveries and then escalating if this is too late for the Customer to ensure contingency plans are put in place.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • Previous Planning or Operational experience
  • Good degree of computer literacy, with excel, access, word and PowerPoint experience
  • Demonstrable experience of a high standard of commercial awareness and understanding of key costs and drivers within the supply chain
