DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a EU Operations Controller-Planning to play a vital role in coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
- Monitor and update supplier volumes on a daily basis to look for possible cost savings via the use of co-loads or part load cost reductions.
- Maintain relationships to implement and establish required timelines and discuss any known issues.
- Rate negotiation, decisions on carrier coverage, escalation to the customer of any over-shipping, co-load planning implementation.
- Manage a variety of carriers depending on volumes, identifying volumes and areas for continuous improvement.
- Manage loads for Road, Rail, and Sea freight.
