Pay Rate: £32,496.31

Grade: O

Contract Type: Secondment/FTC (12 Months), there will be elements of hybrid working in the future within this role once trained

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 12pm to 8pm

Location: Birmingham

A Typical Day May Involve:

  • Dealing with internal teams such as EU Operations, UK Planning, EU tracking teams, MIS Data Team and Carrier Procurement.
  • Checking the relevant mailboxes to ensure all mails are dealt with, recorded on the appropriate tracking sheets & filed away.
  • Chasing any missing documents from either the Suppliers or the carriers in a timely fashion escalating as appropriate.
  • Ensuring all shipments have all the customs documents they require before they attempt to cross.
  • Identifying which Carriers are not complying to the required Brexit Process - attempting to resolve and/or escalating to the carrier or vendor management teams.

This Role Would Suit People Who:

  • Customs Experience - desirable but not essential.
  • Administration Experience.
  • High level of attention to detail, able to analyse and verify complex data to ensure accurate information is released.
  • Ability to create and maintain a strong working relationship with Customer, Carriers and customer Suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word & Excel.
