Location: Ebbw Vale, NP23, 8FX we are looking for a
- Class 1 Driver to work with a drivers mate to deliver good to different pubs
- A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
- Coordinating the picking and loading of alcohol to your assigned vehicle prior to delivery
- Staying in touch with the transport team to advise of any problems
- Regular completion of vehicle checks
- Manual handling of customer products
- THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
- Have previous experience of working with volume orders
- Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload
- Can perform simple maths calculations
- Secure loads effectively and ensure loads are within the weight limits
- Report any excesses, shortages or damage to supervisor in a timely manner
- Happy to do deliveries to customers as part of a two man delivery team or single handed as required
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience
- Ok to Start btw 5:00 -12:00 ( to be advised in advance)
