We\’re now looking for a Driver\’s Mate to play a key role assisting our drivers to deliver goods safely and on time.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Work alongside our warehouse team, coordinating the picking and loading of alcohol and soft beverages onto your assigned vehicle prior to delivery
- Accompany a HGV driver to delivery points where you will assist with unloading deliveries to licensed premises
- Maintain regular contact with the Transport team and advise of all problems which may prevent the job being completed on time and without incident
- Complete relevant processes on an electronic handheld device
this Role Would Suit People Who
- Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
- Have previous experience of working with volume orders
- Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload
- Can perform simple maths calculations
- Previous experience as a Driver\’s Mate, within a similar environment would be ideal but isn\’t a deal breaker!
