DHL, an award‑winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Driver's Mate / Assistant to play a vital role in our distribution service.
What does the role entail?
- Accompany a driver to delivery points where you will assist with unloading deliveries to customers' homes.
- Maintain regular contact with the Transport Team and advise of all problems which may prevent the job being completed on time and without incident.
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times and complete relevant processes on an electronic handheld device.
What do we need from you?
- High levels of manual handling are required, so you need to be physically fit.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions and instructions.
- Connect easily to M6, M42, A4091, local to B46 1TT.
- Previous practical experience as a Driver's Mate, within a logistics or similar environment would be preferable.
- Have your own transport to be able to start your shift between 04:00-09:00.
