LGV C+E Driver (HGV Class 1) - based Daventry

Pay Rate: £41,161 basic based on a 48 hour week – £43,000 OTE

Contract Type: Permanent (Full‑Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday – start times available 04:00‑06:00 or 06:00‑09:00. No weekend working, no Bank Holidays.

Location: Site relocating to Daventry in July 2026

We’re looking for a Class 1 Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out high‑volume manual handling, handballing approximately 800–1,000 tyres across 1–2 NDC delivery drops in line with operational requirements.
  • Deliver to locations including Wakefield, Warrington, Chepstow, Bristol, Maidstone, Newcastle, Sunderland, Winchester, Greenford and Bury St. Edmunds.
  • Operate all equipment for which a license is held and authorisation has been given safely at all times.
  • Complete thorough daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Report all personnel or equipment related accidents immediately to the Transport Office.
  • Ensure all administration documentation (PODs) are completed accurately to the required standards.
  • Count and check all products, compare to manifest and perform a visual check for damage.
  • Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSW) and defined quality standards at all times.
  • Adhere to company health & safety policies and standards of vehicle operation and cleanliness.
  • Report any excesses, shortages or damage to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Comply with health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to the Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
