DHL Supply Chain is the world's leading logistics company, and our people keep the cogs turning and the country running smoothly. We are looking for a Class 1 Driver to play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Carry out high-volume manual handling, handing 800–1,000 tyres across 1–2 delivery drops in line with operational requirements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Operate all equipment (for which a license is held and authorization granted) correctly and safely.
- Complete thorough daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Report all personnel or equipment-related accidents immediately to the Transport Office.
- Ensure all administration documentation (PODs) is completed accurately to required standards.
- Maintain regular contact with the Transport team.
- Count and check all products, compare to manifest, and perform a visual check for damage.
- Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSW) and defined quality standards at all times.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and vehicle operation/cleanliness standards at all times.
- Report any excesses, shortages or damage to a supervisor in a timely manner.
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Comply with health and safety standards, The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
