Gatehouse Administrator – Coventry
Location: Coventry
Shift Patterns: Any 5 from 7 (predominantly Monday-Friday). Evening shift: 14:00-22:00
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
A Typical Day May Involve:
- To provide an efficient and professional gatehouse service controlling all vehicle, visitor and contractor movements
- Ensure all arrivals and departures are processed accurately in line with customer, security, health & safety and operational procedures while maintaining accurate records and supporting warehouse and transport operations
- Liaising with site to provide a smooth and accurate facilitation of all deliveries to the correct location and contract
- Liaise with warehouse and transport operations to coordinate vehicle flow
- Verify driver identification and booking information
- Escalate security concerns and operational issues promptly
- Assist with investigation of vehicle delays, missed bookings or site incidents
- Produce daily, weekly and ad hoc reports as required
This role would suit people who:
- Previous Administrative experience within a Transport/Warehousing environment is essential
- Previously worked within a security environment would be advantageous
- High level of customer service
- Excellent communication skills – Verbal and written
- Organised and strong attention to detail
- Strong IT system skills required (Microsoft systems, Excel)
- Able to work in a busy, pressured and siloed environment, with limited supervision
