Class 1 HGV Yard Shunter Driver

Overview

Pay Rate: £16.97 per hour 10% nights shift premium included from 21:00 to 06:00. Grade: RCS P. Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time). Shift patterns: Evenings/ nights 6pm – 3am. Location: Newtownabbey, BT36 4PE.

Responsibilities

• Shunter driver for yard shunting using tug vehicles. Driving between main yard and trailer yard loading bays.
• Yard / Boat shunting
• To be legally compliant with working time directive and EU Driving hours legislation
• To comply with local legislation requirements and company policies and procedures

Requirements (Qualifications)

• Valid Driving Licence C
• Driver CPC certification
• Previous experience of delivery driving desirable
• Good knowledge of the geographical area desirable
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
