WHAT YOU’LL DO
- To strategically manage all warehouse, distribution, and maintenance activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority consideration.
- To manage and implement the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring that all schedules, regulations, records and working practices are up-to-date and in line with company policies and UK legislation, whilst maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety compliance across the business.
- To continuously review and evaluate warehouse policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the site is operating at maximum efficiency and optimum level.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Have previous and practical experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager within a busy logistics environment.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management and legislation.
- Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to organise and train direct reports.
- Are computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software programmes and packages.
- Are analytical, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Hold an International CPC (desirable but not essential).
