As a Health & Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in helping our site remain safe, compliant, and prepared for whatever comes next, while gaining valuable experience and expanding your professional development within DHL Supply Chain.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
As the Health & Safety Officer, you will support the Health & Safety Manager and site leadership team in delivering a proactive and engaging safety culture across the operation.
Key responsibilities include
- Assisting the Health & Safety Manager and site management team with all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, including Business Continuity Management (BCM).
- Supporting the communication, implementation and compliance of all relevant SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) policies across the site.
- Assisting the Health & Safety Manager and site management team with the delivery of Safety, Health and Environmental initiatives.
- Driving continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance through awareness campaigns, engagement activities and promoting best practice across the site.
- Helping to maintain a positive and proactive safety culture where everyone takes responsibility for health and safety.
- Providing day-to-day Safety, Health, Environmental and BCM guidance, support and advice to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and statutory requirements.

- Previous Health & Safety responsibility within a warehouse and transport environment (essential).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- The ability to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach with strong communication and influencing skills.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (beneficial).
- Fire Safety qualifications or certifications (beneficial).
