As Gateway Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of Stansted Gateway operations, ensuring freight is processed safely, efficiently, and on time in line with global standards and network schedules. You’ll challenge the status quo, drive continuous improvement, manage costs, and champion new technologies and ways of working — all while maintaining world‑class service quality. This is a senior operational leadership role with genuine influence across the wider network.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all Stansted Gateway operational activities to meet service and performance targets
- Collaborate with senior DHL Express operations leaders on cluster-level initiatives, SLAs, and operational improvements
- Monitor and minimise the impact of network disruptions on customer service
- Drive productivity improvements while strictly managing costs within budget
- Ensure full adherence to GSOP, ISO Quality & Environmental standards, RQMS, and the Global Security Framework
- Oversee operational security procedures and ensure compliance with all local legislative requirements
- Champion continuous improvement, introducing new technologies and processes where appropriate
- Build, develop, and inspire
