DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) is a global freight forwarding company, part of the DHL Group, operating in over 190 countries with around 31,000 experts worldwide and a presence of approximately 1,000 staff in the UK.

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our UK National Transport Team. In this role, you will lead and develop a professional transport operation, ensuring compliance, safety, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the fleet and day‑to‑day operations of drivers and transport staff
  • Navigate a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment with calm and confidence
  • Ensure compliance with DVSA, WTD and all relevant UK transport legislation
  • Work collaboratively as part of the UK national transport network
  • Lead on all Health & Safety responsibilities, ensuring safe systems of work
  • Maintain strict compliance with Aviation Security regulations
  • Apply strong problem‑solving skills to operational challenges
  • Ensure full adherence to DHL Global Forwarding processes and procedures
  • Ensure that all interactions are compliant with DPDHL Code of Conduct and other compliance requirements such as anti‑corruption
  • Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program
Skills and Experience
  • Flexible approach to working hours and days
  • Strong communication skills at all levels, with proven customer‑facing experience
  • Confident PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Atlas advantageous
  • Background in freight forwarding with the ability to influence and inspire others
  • Solid understanding of UK driver hours, vehicle legislation and transport compliance
  • Passion for problem‑solving and improving processes
  • Must hold an International CPC qualification

Hours / Shift Pattern
