The Role:
You will ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, collaborating with station managers and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the UK Head of Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality, you will enhance quality processes, manage environmental impact, and ensure legal compliance across DHL sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance with quality and environmental standards.
- Review and audit documentation to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Identify areas for improvement in waste management and energy consumption, helping to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain an up-to-date environmental legal register and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Work closely with station/site managers and stakeholders to implement best practices and corrective actions where needed.
- Produce detailed reports and analysis on compliance status, corrective actions, and performance improvements.
- Monitor energy usage, including vehicle fuel consumption and station-level energy use such as lighting.
About You:
- Experience in quality management systems and environmental compliance
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Auditing experience, with the ability to review and improve operational processes
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from site managers to senior leadership
- Problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues
- Logistics or freight forwarding background is desirable
- IEMA qualification or equivalent is desirable
