The Role:
- You will ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, collaborating with station managers and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Reporting to the UK Head of Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality, you will enhance quality processes, manage environmental impact, and ensure legal compliance across DHL sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance with quality and environmental standards.
- Review and audit documentation to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Identify areas for improvement in waste management and energy consumption, helping to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain an up-to-date environmental legal register and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Work closely with station/site managers and stakeholders to implement best practices and corrective actions where needed.
- Produce detailed reports and analysis on compliance status, corrective actions, and performance improvements.
- Monitor energy usage, including vehicle fuel consumption and station-level energy use such as lighting.
About You:
- Experience in quality management systems and environmental compliance
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Auditing experience, with the ability to review and improve operational processes
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from site managers to senior leadership
- Problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues
- Logistics or freight forwarding background is desirable
- IEMA qualification or equivalent is desirable
