Role Overview

Aero Engine Movement Co‑ordinator – responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant air freight shipping of customer engines worldwide, providing technical advice, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving continuous improvement of SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide flawless service to ensure safe and compliant air freight shipping of customer engines globally.
  • Offer technical guidance to stations, hauliers, and airlines to align handling and transport with SOPs.
  • Execute SOP processes, ensuring all steps and milestones are met on time.
  • Work closely with local DGF stations to ensure SOP compliance.
  • Accurately calculate quotes to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct pre‑shipment quality calls to confirm shipping plans.
  • Communicate with suppliers, including truck companies and airlines.
  • Liaise with customer contacts to understand requirements, manage expectations, and provide progress updates.
  • Act as the liaison between shipper, consignee, DGF teams, suppliers, and the customer.
  • Identify and resolve issues, finding solutions to keep the engine safe and meet customer expectations.
  • Complete daily tasks in line with defined SOPs.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Team player with effective communication in a remote team environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and prioritisation ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with overseas teams.
  • Support change and suggest development ideas.
  • Process driven – able to follow a process thoroughly and improve non‑conformance.
  • Freight forwarding experience (air preferred).
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ensure all interactions comply with DPDHL Code of Conduct and other compliance requirements (e.g., anti‑corruption).
  • Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program.

Hours/Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week (shift requirements and one in eight weekends on call).

Reports to: Centre of Excellence Team Leader.
