Shifts available: Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm, 12 noon – 8 pm, 2 pm -10 pm

Flexible working: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry office/ home

Playing a significant role in overseeing the customs process for both air and ocean shipments you’ll build strong working partnerships with our customers whilst collaborating with our team of experienced customs professionals – some of the best in the business!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Completing and submitting customs declarations
  • Preparing and reviewing customs documentation e.g. packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills
  • Providing customers with shipment updates
  • Offering customs related guidance to customers, customs authorities & internal stakeholders
  • Resolving issues and providing updates relating to disputes, inspections or customs delays
  • Determining goods tariff classifications and calculating duties, taxes, and fees

About you:

Essential for this role is your experience of customs/imports/exports administration and processes, including some/all of the following:

  • Customs systems/platforms e.g. E-Customs, Cargowise, ICE, ASM Sequoia, Trade Tariff
  • Import: C21’s, NCH, reduced duty rates, Y Codes, Trade Tariff, SCDP/CFSP, CCS/CNS/Destin8, IPR, VAT Adjustment, Post Clearance Amendment
  • Export: NCTS/T1’s, Transit Guarantee/Discharge, Export Control/Licences, Commodity verification

In addition, you’ll:

  • Be eligible to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
  • Possess a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and efficiently manage workload
  • Have a strong working knowledge of MS Outlook
