Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)
Location: Bicester - HM Prison Bullingdon
Salary: £12,480.00 per annum or £15 per hour
Shift Pattern: Thursday and Friday, 8 hours a day, plus rotational cover at HM Prison Huntercombe (RG9 5SB)
Note: The role is based within a Prison. You will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process if successful.
Role Overview
HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. No two days on our HMPPS contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the prisoners' lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Working on the prison wing, distributing orders timely and accurately to each inmate
- Loading and unloading vehicles when orders arrive at the prison
- Ensuring compliance with prison rules and regulations
Candidate Requirements
- The ability to work in a prison environment, alongside inmates
- The ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Current 3-year UK address history (mandatory for Enhanced Security Clearance)
