The Transport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the transportation operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution of transport activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The Transport Operations Manager will lead a team of transport professionals and work closely with other departments to optimize the supply chain network.

WHAT YOU\’LL DO
- Plan and coordinate transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, overseeing daily activities such as route planning, vehicle maintenance, and management of transport personnel.
- Implement performance metrics to maintain service quality and operational efficiency while supporting and guiding transport supervisors and drivers to promote safety and continuous improvement.
- Develop transportation strategies that align with company goals and explore new technologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Manage the transport budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Establish safety policies to protect all personnel and the public, and collaborate with customer and vendor teams to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
WHAT YOU\’LL BRING
- Candidates should have a background in transportation operations or a related field
- Hold an International CPC Qualification (essential)
- Successful candidates should have experience collaborating with trade unions
