Join DHL Supply Chain at our state‑of‑the‑art East Midlands Gateway site as an MHE Instructor, where you'll play a key role in shaping a safe, skilled, and high‑performing operation. As part of one of our flagship, fast‑paced logistics hubs—supporting major customers and handling high volumes—you'll deliver engaging training and ensure our teams are equipped to operate efficiently and safely in a modern, technology‑driven environment.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Deliver MHE training across a range of equipment including Reach, Counterbalance, LLOP and PPT, ensuring all operators meet safety and competency standards.
  • Conduct engaging site inductions for new starters, setting clear expectations around safety, best practice, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate training records and keep the site training matrix up to date, ensuring full compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out ongoing operational training and upskilling across the site, supporting continuous improvement and safe working practices.
  • Work closely with Performance Coaches to support Excellence School initiatives and provide MHE training support within the co‑pack facility.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Proven experience working in a similar MHE Trainer/Instructor role within a fast‑paced warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Hold valid RTITB or AITT licences, with essential certifications and hands‑on experience operating Reach and Counterbalance trucks.
  • Strong knowledge of manual handling techniques and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), with the ability to apply and teach best practice.
  • Demonstrable manual handling experience, ensuring safe and compliant working methods are consistently followed.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to deliver clear training, provide constructive feedback, and carry out operator assessments effectively.
