We’re currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK.
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.
- A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide.
- Average of 2 drops per shift.
- Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network.
- Transporting ambient goods on pallets.
- Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre; occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading.
- Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
- THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence.
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
