LGV C+E Driver (HGV Class 1) - based Daventry
Pay Rate: £41,161 basic based on a 48 hour week - £43,000 OTE
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday - start times available either 04:00-06:00 OR 06:00-09:00. No weekend working, do not work Bank Holidays.
Location: Site will be relocating to Daventry in July 2026.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Carry out high‑volume manual handling, handballing approximately 800–1,000 tyres across 1–2 NDC delivery drops in line with operational requirements.
- Delivery locations include: Wakefield, Warrington, Chepstow, Bristol, Maidstone, Newcastle, Sunderland, Winchester, Greenford and Bury St. Edmunds.
- Operate all equipment (for which a license is held and authorisation has been given) correctly and safely at all times.
- Complete thorough daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Report all personnel or equipment related accidents immediately to the Transport Office.
- Ensure all administration documentation (PODs) are completed accurately to the required standards.
- Count and check all products, compare to manifest and complete a visual check for damage.
- Adhere to Safe Systems of work (SSW) and defined quality standards at all times.
- Ensure that all company health & safety policies and standards of vehicle operation and cleanliness are adhered to at all times.
- Report any excesses, shortages or damage to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
