A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence.
- To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level.
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
- Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards, disciplinaries and grievances, informal / formal conversations.
- Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Support with resource planning, conducting interview and inductions for new starters.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
- Previous warehouse management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Leader) is essential.
- Previous experience of Inventory Management disciplines is desirable.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written.
- Knowledge of MHE operations (holding valid MHE licenses would be desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- IT literate - WMS and Microsoft packages.
