A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Support the Operations Team with the delivery of health, safety and environmental plans, procedures and compliance activities, namely HSMS and EMS.
- Assist with the implementation of site safety frameworks and ensure alignment with legal requirements, site standards and operational processes.
- Help to identify potential workplace hazards, unsafe behaviours and at-risk conditions through routine checks, inspections and conversations.
- Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment and work areas to support adherence to relevant HSE policies, procedures and standards.
- Assist in gathering information for incident investigations, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Compile initial analysis on potential root causes and support the development of corrective measures.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, inspections, audits and training activities.
- Provide information required for interactions with regulatory bodies, internal and external audit functions.
- Support the delivery of training, briefings and toolbox talks to employees and contractors on safety practices and procedures.
- Assist operational teams during start-ups, relocations or new processes by helping to prepare documentation (SSOW, WIs, Risk Assessments).
- To actively work alongside direct and indirect internal and external stakeholders.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
- Educated to a professional certificate level in Health and Safety and Environment (or equivalent or working towards) - Desirable
- Experience of ISO standards 9001, 14001 & 45001 - Desirable.
- Experience of working within a H & S and Environmental setting and knowledge of SHE policies and procedures - Essential.
- Driving license (Valid UK) Max 6 points.
