DHL Air (UK) is the largest all-cargo air carrier in the UK, operating a fleet of B757-200, B767-300 & B777-200 aircraft on worldwide operations. As part of the DHL Express team with our headquarters at East Midlands Airport, we are excited to welcome an IT Administrator to our Ground Operations team to help deliver our customer promise of Excellence, Simply Delivered.
We are looking for a self-motivated professional, who is people and service-focused, to join our growing Ground Operations department. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, passionate about their work, and embodies the “Can Do” spirit that has made DHL a world leader in logistics.
The Role
- Support a range of tasks primarily focused to support all IT functions across the business, including:
- IT helpdesk support, providing solutions to key stakeholders
- Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of IT systems and software
- Supporting the development of digital tools and applications for operational efficiency
- Assisting with data analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes
- Collaborating with other departments to identify technology needs and propose solutions
- Providing support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Assisting with other ground operations tasks as needed
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant hands-on experience through internships or projects
- Understanding of IT systems and software applications, logistics and operations systems knowledge are advantageous
- Experience in providing helpdesk support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving user inquiries
- Familiarity with systems and software languages and basic coding principles (academic experience is acceptable)
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common applications
- Foundational knowledge of MS Office applications
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on effective communication and problem resolution
