DHL International (UK) Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic, people-focused Senior Courier to join our high-performing Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead, motivate, and support a team of couriers while ensuring we continue to deliver the world-class service our customers expect.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Senior Courier, you will play a key supervisory role within our Belfast team. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead & Support Your Courier Loop
- Managing, coaching, and motivating a group of couriers to achieve productivity and service KPIs.
- Conducting performance dialogues, one-to-ones, and annual appraisals.
- Ensuring daily briefs, debriefs, and communications are consistently delivered.
- Operational Excellence
- Covering courier routes when required due to planned/unplanned absences.
- Ensuring all deliveries, collections, and associated documentation meet DHL and network standards.
- Supporting route prioritisation, workload organisation, and local route knowledge needs.
- Monitoring performance trends and addressing underperformance where needed.
- People, Safety & Customer Focus
- Always representing DHL professionally and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring safety standards, regulatory compliance, and security protocols are met.
- Identifying sales opportunities, business at risk, and customer insights.
- Supporting the Operations Manager when required.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A confident leader with excellent people management skills
- Calm under pressure with strong decision-making abilities
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise effectively
- IT‑proficient and comfortable using company systems
- A strong communicator with a “can‑do”, positive approach
- An experienced courier with supervisory experience (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in a multi-drop courier role.
