A leading City-based law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate (3-6 PQE) to join its growing M&A and equity capital markets team in London. The role combines high-end public and private M&A with UK Takeover Code advisory, supporting listed companies and international corporates on complex transactions.
You’ll work closely with a Chambers-ranked partner on public M&A, schemes of arrangement, premium listings, and cross-border corporate transactions, alongside general UK corporate governance and disclosure matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on public M&A deals governed by the UK Takeover Code
- Support cross-border M&A transactions and corporate restructurings
- Work on IPOs, secondary offerings, and LSE premium listings
- Provide ongoing advisory on UK Listing Rules and governance issues
Requirements:
- 3-6 years\’ PQE as a corporate associate at a top City or international law firm
- Demonstrable experience advising on UK public M&A governed by the Takeover Code is essential – whether on the bidder, target, or underwriter side
- Solid deal sheet with a mix of transactional M&A and/or ECM work
- Strong academic background and proven technical ability
